How this list is made: we searched each funder's public grant records for extracellular vesicle, exosome and microvesicle in the title, summary or keywords, and kept the grants whose title or summary is about vesicles (grants about the RNA exosome, a different thing with the same name, are left out). One entry per funded project: yearly NIH awards for the same project are joined under its core project number. Title, funder, project number, years and investigator are as the funder publishes them; the funder's record, linked from every entry, is the authority on its details.
Active means the project's end date is on or after 2026-10-17, the day the records were read.
Disease tags are our reading of each grant's title and summary with a fixed word list, not the funder's own classification. A grant can name several diseases, or none.
